Aristo Pharma and the Charité are connected not only by their headquarters in the German capital Berlin and their efforts to provide first-class patient care, but also by a trustful partnership through the Freundeskreis der Charité e.V. since 2018.
The Charité itself can look back on a centuries-old tradition - in 2010 it already celebrated its 300th anniversary. It is one of the largest university hospitals in Europe. Here, doctors and scientists research, heal and teach at a top international level. More than half of the German Nobel Prize winners in medicine and physiology come from the Charité, including Emil von Behring, Robert Koch and Paul Ehrlich.
However, the Charité not only acts as a driving force for the health care industry in Europe, but is also an important social player. The Freundeskreis der Charité e.V. supports Europe's largest university hospital - in particular the nursing sector with about 4,000 employees. By presenting the Patient Award, the association honors the daily performance of the nursing staff at the Charité. On the other hand, it provides further training opportunities for nursing managers in the form of the mentoring programme.
Since its foundation in 2014, the association has also acted as a mouthpiece for the Charité and promotes the exchange between hospital and society. The aim of the circle of friends is to promote the continuous improvement of patient care at the Charité and to seek public dialogue.
In order to provide support in the regional environment and to contribute to the valuable work of the Charité Circle of Friends - especially in these difficult times of the Corona pandemic - Aristo Pharma is again supporting the association with a financial donation this year.
