Antibiotics

Medication that can be used to treat bacterial infectious diseases. Two different groups of antibiotics are distinguished depending on their mode of action. They are for one agents that inhibit or destroy the growth of bacteria, such as penicillin. For the other, they are narrow-spectrum antibiotics that act only against specific germs, and broad-spectrum antibiotics that are effective against a number of different germs.
